TULSA - A man is behind bars after police say he attacked his girlfriend with a hammer.
Police say 39-year-old Stuart Palmer left the woman with a swollen and bleeding hand Saturday after an alleged fight between the two resulted in kicked-in doors and items thrown around the house.
The woman told police it was during the fight that Palmer threw a hammer at her. She said he has a history of domestic abuse.
Palmer was arrested for domestic assault with a dangerous weapon. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $20,000 bond.
