TULSA - A Tulsa man is in jail after neighbors reported witnessing him beat a dog to death Sunday night.
James Fredrick Woodson III, 47, was arrested on felony complaints of cruelty to animals.
A neighbor informed police that Woodson had beat her small dog to death in the street while she was at work.
Police said the deceased dog had “extreme head trauma and blood all around the head.”
A witness saw Woodson throw a log at the dog that was in the street. The dog was stumbling to get up and walk when Woodson walked over to the dog and beat it with the log twice until it was dead, according to the witness.
Woodson is being held on a $4,000 bond.
