TULSA - An inmate at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center threatened to shoot a detention officer 20 times, stab him 20 times and blow up his house and car, according to jail documents.

Kevin Gene Shelman, 40, also threatened to kill any inmate that got in his way, according to the booking report.

Shelman now faces charges of threatening a violent act and threatening to place explosives next to a building or car in addition to the original charges of six counts of obscene or threatening phone calls.

Shelman is being held without bond on those charges.  Bond for the additional charges equals $50,000.

Officials say Shelman called a person at Hillcrest Medical Center in April and claimed to have had sex with five children below the age of 11 and made other obscene, threatening and harassing remarks to the man.

Shelman is due in court next week.
