MOUNDS, Okla. - A high school faculty member in Mounds has been arrested for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.
Liberty High School teacher and coach Earl Tennial, 29, was arrested Thursday afternoon. He faces two counts of lewd molestation.
Tennial is accused of kissing and fondling a 15-year-old girl after engaging in several sexually themed texts. Tennial admits to the texts, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
"We would talk about possibly skipping class or meeting after a wrestling tournament and doing sexual activities," Tennial is quoted as saying in his arrest report.
Liberty Public Schools lists Tennial as "athletics" for the high school and "English/athletics" for 7th and 8th grade.
Tennial is being held on $75,000 bond. He's due in court Jan. 2.
