WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. - Authorities say an escapee from a Tulsa correctional center was caught in Coweta Thursday night.

John Crandall, 23, went missing Feb. 23 from the Avalon Correction Center, a private halfway house in Tulsa, says Cameron Rose, assistant district supervisor for the Tulsa County Department of Corrections.

Crandall was arrested and taken to the Wagoner County jail and faces new escape charges in Tulsa County.

Crandall pleaded guilty to eluding a police officer, possession of a stolen vehicle and driving without a license and no insurance in 2010.
