TULSA - A Tulsa babysitter accused of molesting a young girl for two years has been formally charged with rape.
The state of Oklahoma charged 25-year-old Daniel Mendoza with first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 14 Monday.
Mendoza was arrested last week when his 9-year-old accuser told a family member he sexually assaulted her from the time she was 7.

The girl told officers the molestations occurred while her mother was at work. According to Mendoza's police report, the most recent alleged assault happened June 9.
