TULSA - Tulsa police say a red Ford pickup truck crashed through the back gate at the Tulsa Police Department Riverside Division early Sunday morning.

Officers say the driver of the truck told them it belonged to a friend, and that it had been stolen on Saturday night.  The man told police he had recovered the vehicle and was being pursued by the suspects when he crashed the gate.

Officers took the driver, Matthew White, 27, into custody on traffic violations. His passenger was not charged.

White is being held on bonds totaling $429.
