TULSA - A reminder for drivers heading into downtown Tulsa:
If you use I-244 into Tulsa from the south, you'll be diverted onto the Broken Arrow Expressway after crossing the Arkansas River.
The I-244 bridge over third street is still closed and will be for some time.
It will take engineers at least until Friday to come up with a workable plan for repairing the bridge.
A truck hit it on Monday afternoon, damaging the overpass.
Once a plan is in place, crews can start in on repairs.
There's no indication so far on how long that will take.
For now Oklahoma Department of Transportation officials say drivers will need to avoid the area completely to cut down on congestion.
