Traffic alert: I-44/I-244 junction narrowed, delays expected

TULSA - All lanes of east and westbound I-244 are open to traffic at the I-44 junction, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.  

The right lane of westbound I-44 over I-244 will remained closed until further notice.

An accident at Tulsa's I-44/I-244 junction Wednesday narrowed the junction earlier as several lanes were closed.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the following lanes were shut down:

• The right lane of westbound I-44 over I-244.
• The left lane of eastbound I-244.
• The two outside lanes of westbound I-244. 

An object fell off of a truck and hit the bridge, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials told 2NEWS.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
