TULSA - Officials with Tulsa Public Schools announced Tuesday the suspensions of three athletic personnel.

Athletic Director Dr. Stephanie Spring and Assistant Athletic Directors Jon Wheeler and Trish Pruitt were suspended Tuesday with full pay and benefits.

Officer Jason Willingham, Tulsa Police Department spokesperson, said there is an ongoing investigation into the possible hacking of email involving the three.

As of Tuesday, no charges have been filed, according to the Oklahoma State Courts Network.

TPS Superintendent Keith Ballard confirmed in an emailed statement the suspensions of Spring, Wheeler and Pruitt but did not comment further.

"Because it is a personnel matter, no further information can be released at this time," said Ballard.

Stephen Mayfield, executive assistant to the associate superintendent of secondary schools, will take over as acting athletic director effective immediately.

"We appreciate Stephen very much for stepping into this important role," said Ballard.
