TULSA - There is still time to mail holiday packages with delivery by Christmas, but you'll have to pay extra.
December 21st is the last day to send priority mail with no guarantee.
December 22nd, the options for overnight and express mail are the best for those who want to beat the deadline.
Check USPS.com for prices and other deadlines including the latest possible day to ship packages to the miltary or to mail internationally.
There is little down time for post office employees and other businesses that offer mail services.
Do not be surprised if you encounter long lines the week of Christmas. "Right now is the time when everybody starts panicking wanting express shipping," said customer Carla Robinson
Services with delivery before Christmas could cost up to three times more than the standard rate.
