TULSA - A teenager was shot and killed in East Tulsa while riding in a car late Saturday night near 15th Street and 129th Avenue.

Police say the 17-year-old was in the passenger seat when a bullet, possibly fired from a rifle, entered through the license plate, hit her in the back, passed through her chest and went through the front windshield.

The driver stopped the car less than a block from the teen's house when he realized she had been shot.

Police say the girl recently graduated from high school.

She died at the hospital.

Police have no motive for the shooting.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
