TULSA - It's April 16, which would usually mean the tax deadline has come and gone. But not this year.
You have until Tuesday, April 17 to get your return postmarked and on its way to Uncle Sam.
Procrastinators were given two extra days this year because April 15 landed on a Sunday, so the post office was closed, and Monday is Emancipation Day, a holiday in Washington D.C.
Under the tax code, filing deadlines cannot fall on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
The IRS says it has already received the majority of the tax returns it's expecting.
