TULSA - Tulsa Police say a local business helped them arrest a known career criminal.

Detectives say Joshua Sanders is responsible dozens of burglaries.

The 25-year-old was out on bond when police say he broke into a home near 81st and South Urbana.

Thursday night, a lady pulled-up and stopped Ryan Reyes as he was leaving his office at Tulsa Gold and Gems, "She shows me a picture of an item that was stolen from her Tuesday, this week."

Reyes told her he'd watch for the jewels.

The very next day it showed up.

He says someone's was trying to sell it.

Reyes' knew exactly what to do, "Call the police, number one. Do your best to keep the person in the store and try not to look obvious that you're on to something."

"They did the right thing and did a good job of calling us and letting us know," TPD Detective Gene Watkins says this turned out to be the work of Sanders.

The veteran officers says he knows the suspect pretty well, "We've connected him to around 40 burglaries before."

In late June, sanders led detectives to a storage facility where they found stolen guns electronics and silverware.

Just a few weeks earlier, he had been arrested for breaking into a home near 106th and South Sheridan.

Some alert neighbors took the keys to his get-away-car while he was inside and called police.

Detective Watkins is trying to figure out if there are even more cases Sanders is linked too.

Police questioned two other people who were with Sanders; they've been since released.
