Tulsa - The Best Turkey Meatballs
In a large pan, saute the onions in two tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle with a bit of salt at the start to sweat them out a bit. As they become translucent, add in the chopped garlic and cook for two minutes. Take off the heat and let cool.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, add in the turkey, breadcrumbs, sage, seasonings, eggs, cheese, and parsley. Mix and then add in the onion/garlic mixture and water until evenly combined.
Grab a small section with wet hand and roll into 2 inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Transfer the balls to a large saute pan with a bit more olive oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides. Serve with your favorite tomato sauce and pasta.
