Tulsa Police say a stranded motorist and his passenger were seriously hurt when a car slammed into them catching their car on fire.
It happened around 2 a.m. on Highway 169 northbound over the Highway 51 bridge.
The female driver of the car, Cortney Russell, 33, that slammed into them told police she did not see the stalled car until it was too late. The driver and passenger of the stalled car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police say Russell smelled of alcohol. She was taken to the hospital for blood testing in connection to a DUI test. She was later arrested for driving under the influence.
The driver was incoherent when he was loaded into the ambulance. The female passenger appeared to have a broken arm.
Russell's bond was set at $1,000.
