TULSA - Tulsa's city council wants residents to know that they are welcome at meetings.

In a statement from the city they said, "To avoid any perception of impropriety, Tulsa City Council Chairman Rick Westcott will schedule a special meeting with Mayor Bartlett and the Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce next week."

"It has always been the Council's intention to resolve any conflicts with the administration in public meetings. Although these smaller meetings may have helped set the ground rules for the upcoming public forums, the citizens of Tulsa should be completely informed about how their elected officials will get past their differences and move this great city forward. We are grateful to the Chamber in their assistance to facilitate these discussions with Mayor Bartlett." said Westcott.

The meeting will be posted in accordance to the Open Meetings Act and be open to the public and press.
