TULSA - The search is still on for a Tulsa shooter responsible for the city's 28th murder of the year.
Police say 42-year-old Kevin Hawkins was shot dead at south Tulsa's Lewiston Apartments after an apparent robbery of he and his girlfriend.

Neighbor Timothy Large says he woke up around 3:45 Sunday morning to the sound of gunshots. Rushing to the door, Large found Hawkin's girlfriend down the hall.
"I opened the door, she heard the door open immediately, turned around and ran to me," he said.
Now detectives are putting together a list of possible of suspects based on crime reports in the area from the past month. And while Hawkins did have a criminal history, Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker says the murder isn't likely connected to a checkered past.
Walker says the best thing a robbery victim can do is give the criminal what he or she wants, even if that means a purse or wallet.
