Soldier from Noble, Okla. killed in Afghanistan

A Noble, Okla. soldier died yesterday in the Kandahar province of Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.

Sgt. Allen McKenna Jr., 28, was a member of the 4th Infantry Division in Fort Carson, Colo.

McKenna joined the Army in Sept. 2004 and was in his second deployment to Afghanistan, according to the Associated Press. 

McKenna received the Army Commendation Medal twice and the Army Achievement Medal.
