TULSA - A shooting victim was hospitalized late Wednesday night and police say a child barely escaped injury.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Plaza Hills East Apartments near 21st and 129th East Avenue.
The victim told officers he pulled into the parking lot when two men approached him. At some point he said the men pulled a gun and started shooting.
Police say a child was in the victim's car when the gunfire erupted. The child was not injured.
The victim reportedly didn't require EMSA response and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the lower back.
The victim is in stable condition.
Police believe this may have been an attempted robbery.
