MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee police arrested several suspects believed to be involved in a fraudulent check scheme earlier today.
Only Taisha O'Brien, 25, was charged with fraud and second-degree burglary. The rest were released after police questioning.
The scheme spanned from Oklahoma City to Tulsa to Muskogee and resulted in victims losing several thousands of dollars.
The Muskogee Police Department has been investigating the string of cases for several weeks, working in conjunction with the U.S. Secret Service.
The suspects were apprehended after investigators set up surveillance of the suspects.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing with more charges expected.
