SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. - A Green Country sheriff is bringing in out-of-state experts to investigate what he believes could be a case of spontaneous human combustion.

Sequoyah County sheriff Ron Lockhart says experts from Pennsylvania are headed to Green Country to investigate a man's death.

Relatives found 65-year-old Donald Vanzandt's burned body Monday inside a home near Muldrow.

"It's a bizarre case I've never seen before," Lockhart said. "I mean you've got a hole in the kitchen where the fire started and you've got a body and the body is so incinerated, the only thing you have left are his hands and feet and a head."

A medical examiner will soon perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
