Fireworks were responsible for a number of fires in Sapulpa and Oakhurst overnight.
Firefighters spent a couple of hours at a fire near 61st and 69th West Avenue when trash and brush thrown over the side of a hill caught fire.
Crews say recent weather conditions helped slow things down
“We've had some rain, cooler weather,” Steve Fleak of the Sapulpa Fire Department said. “Helps it not dry up so fast. Wasn't much wind today so it's been pretty good.”
The trash fire took crews a couple of hours to put out.
