SAPULPA, Okla. - Highway patrol officials say a 43-year-old Sapulpa man was killed after being hit by a pickup truck on I-44 Saturday evening.
Troopers say the pickup was driving west on the roadway in Creek County when he noticed a pedestrian running across the traffic lanes. He tried to swerve, but his driver's side mirror clipped the pedestrian.
Troopers say Kevin Doyle was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the trooper's report, the driver will not be ticketed.
