SAND SPRINGS -- The City of Sand Springs is offering “Chipper Day” to all Sand Springs residents who receive regular trash collection.
Through Chipper Day residents can dispose of tree limb debris caused by this week’s storm.
The service will be available at the city’s Street Division facility, located at 8620 W. 21st St. Aug. 3 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants are required to bring a City of Sand Springs utility bill as proof of residential refuse service for admittance.
Residents can also bundle tree limbs for disposal with their regular trash collection. Bundles, however, are not to exceed four feet in length, 35 pounds in weight and four inches in diameter. The city requires that all bundles be tied. And be placed next to the resident’s polykart for regular collection.
For further information, contact the Sand Springs Public Works Department at 918-246-2588.
