SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - School is in session Friday despite an investigation into a possible threat at Clyde Boyd Middle School in Sand Springs.
Sand Springs police told 2NEWS they have not been able to confirm the validity but they are investigating a report that a student may have planned to bring a gun to school Friday.
Sand Springs Superintendent Lloyd Snow said a student overheard someone in a hallway saying a gun will be brought to school, went home and their their mom, who then called police.
Snow said police contacted district leaders and after investigating overnight they "could not substantiate any credible plot of potential incident."
Police say "they are taking steps" to ensure the safety of the students.
