MAYES COUNTY, Okla. - A third woman has alleged "Safari Joe" Estes, a popular Green Country exotic animal owner, of rape.

A new charge of rape by instrumentation was added Thursday to Estes' earlier charges of rape by instrumentation, two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and lewd molestation.

The most recent accuser told investigators Estes abused her New Year's Eve night or early New Year's Day while unconscious nearly five years ago.

She was also over 18 at the time of the alleged rape. Estes' two previous accusers were under 16.

Prosecutors say the abuse took place as far back as seven years ago on or near the wildlife sanctuary he runs in Adair.

Estes, who was in court Thursday, received a Nov. 30 continuance.

He is currently free on bond.
