TULSA - Nearly 10,000 runners will fill area streets Saturday for the 35th annual Tulsa Run.

The course is identical to the original path runners first ran in 1978.

About 50 police officers will be working both crowd and traffic control.

Sgt. Les Young tells 2NEWS that the biggest road closure will be on Riverside Drive, between 19th and 56th.

He recommends that drivers use Peoria as a detour.

"It's just going to take a little bit more time," he said. "There will probably be a little bit more traffic."
