TULSA - Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich will make a campaign stop in Tulsa next week.
The GOP candidate will attend a town hall event sponsored by the ORU College Republicans at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 at the Mabee Center.
The event is being streamed online at oru.edu/ townhall .
Gingrich is expected to make an opening statement followed by a question-and-answer session.
Gingrich became the first Republican Speaker of the House in 40 years after the 1994 mid-term elections. After losing his first and second bid for Congress in 1974 and 1976, Gingrich won a seat in the House in 1978.
Gingrich was re-elected to Congress 10 times.
