TULSA - Investigators believe a shooting and nearby armed robbery of a north Tulsa credit union are connected.
Police received word around 1:30 p.m. about a shooting near Pine and Greenwood. They say a man was shot in the arm.
A short time later an armed robbery call came in from TTCU The Credit Union at Pine and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
TPD spokesman Leland Ashley tells 2NEWS a little before 1 p.m. a man entered the credit union with a gun, demanding money. He hopped the counter, grabbed an unknown amount of cash and ran.
Ashley says while the man was fleeing TTCU an armed security guard fired several shots, hitting the suspect at least once.
A short time later police were called the house at Pine and North Greenwood where they found a man who police believe could be the robbery suspect.
EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer says a 22-year-old male was transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition.
Ashley didn't have information on whether money was found at the home.
2NEWS has crews at both locations. Stay with KJRH.com as more details become available.
