TULSA - Tulsa police say they have a suspect in custody after they arrived on the scene of an alleged attempted burglary.
Officers arriving on the scene say the suspect was coming out of the Trade Winds East Inn near 51st Street and Harvard Avenue with cash in his hands around 12 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the man went back inside and officers surrounded the building. The man came back outside a short time later and police took him into custody.
A K-9 unit was called to the scene after one officer thought he heard the suspect talking to someone inside the inn. A second suspect was not located.
Police say the inn is not open and it is unclear where the money came from. It may have come from an old strong box or safe, they said.
