TULSA - Tulsa police made an arrest for copper theft after the suspect was found at an abandoned hotel.

Around 3 a.m. police responded to a report of a suspicious person at the old Trade Winds Hotel near 51st and Harvard.

Officers made contact with security, who said he heard rustling inside the abandoned hotel.

Police then found a man standing in a stairwell with copper and metal in his hands as well as other burglary tools.

While police were arresting 47-year-old Ellis Horne they found another man on the stairwell.  The second suspect fled the area and evaded arrest.

Horne is facing charges for second-degree burglary and larceny of copper wire.
