PERRY COUNTY, Ark. - Coach Kurt Budke, Oklahoma State University women's head basketball coach, and Assistant Coach Miranda Serna were killed in a plane crash Thursday in Arkansas.

Lynn Lunsford, Federal Aviation Administration public affairs manager, said the plane went down in a wooded area four miles south of Perryville, Ark. around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The plane was a PA-28 Cherokee, manufactured by Piper in 1964.

It was a fixed wing single-engine aircraft, and according to the Federal Aviation Administration, it's registered to  Olin Branstetter, of Ponca City.

In a press conference Friday, university officials said Branstetter and his wife, Paula, were onboard at the time of the accident with Olin serving as pilot.  Both were killed in the crash.

According to OSU's website, the Branstetters are listed as past donors to the university.

The cause of Thursday's crash is unknown at this time.
