TULSA - Four Tulsa men were arrested after police say they stole an assault rifle from a home and shot the resident's dog.
Police say they received a tip that several men were in a home near Admiral Boulevard and Utica Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The caller told police the suspects were armed and gunshots had been fired.
Officers say they approached the back of the house and saw a man wearing latex gloves standing in the doorway. The suspect briefly went into the house and closed the door. Then five men ran from the home.
Officers chased the men and apprehended four suspects which witnesses identified as men involved in the burglary, according to police documents.
Dominique Lamon Wilson, Dwayne Demons, Lloyd Lee Trotter and Tyler De'Angelo Prince are all being held on charges of second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm during a felony, animal cruelty, resisting arrest and possession of drugs. Trotter and Wilson were also booked on charges of possession of stolen property.
Police say an SKS assault rifle and 18 rounds of ammunition were stolen from the home.
The victim was not at home during the burglary, but officers say her dog was shot and killed by the suspects.
