PAWNEE, Okla. - A Green Country school board voted Tuesday to relieve a suspended coach of his duties after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced earlier this month.
The Pawnee school board voted 5-0 to strip Jeff Tatum of his position as head coach of the high school girls basketball team.
Tatum, who served a 10-day suspension prior to Tuesday's hearing, will remain a teacher at the school, at least until May 16 when another special board meeting will be held to determine his future with the district.
Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation officials confirmed last week an inquiry from the Pawnee County Sheriff's Office into a Pawnee employee's relationship with a student had been made last month.
