TULSA COUNTY, Okla. - Deputies say they arrested a 69-year-old Owasso woman for shooting her husband just after 10 p.m. Friday.
Vickie Lou McNeely told deputies she shot her husband after he came at her with a knife and tried to kill her, according to jail records. McNeely then called 911.
Deputies say McNeely smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech upon their arrival.
Daniel McNeely's body was found just inside the front door, although records state that Vickie McNeely told authorities that he was in the laundry room.
Investigators say there was no sign of a struggle inside the home.
Deputies found a .38 caliber handgun with all five rounds fired in the home.
Vickie McNeely was arrested for first-degree murder.
