TULSA - For Oklahoma State fans, Saturday's victory over the Sooners in Bedlam is one they'll never forget, but it wasn't quite enough to get them to New Orleans.

Instead of facing LSU for the BCS championship, they'll face off with Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix.

The news left Cowboy fans disappointed.

"I think that because Les Miles use to coach OSU and that he went to LSU, and Mike Gundy took over, I think everybody would have rather seen those coaches go head to head than to see another rematch," said OSU fan Jacob Oscroe. "Nobody wants to see a low-point game."

Some Pokes fans tried to look on the bright side.

"I would have loved to gone to New Orleans. But if you would have told me at the beginning of last season, we'd be 22-3 and going to the Fiesta Bowl right now, would I take it? I'd take it," said George Bullock, an OSU alum.

Though the Cowboys won't be playing for their first national title, fans are still happy with the overall season that saw the OSU capture the Big XII Championship, and perhaps more importantly, defeat the Sooners for the first time in years.

Maybe we aren't their little brother anymore. Maybe we will get respect now," said Gerald Bullock. "They've had respect for a long time. Maybe everyone's going to start looking at Oklahoma having two teams, with Oklahoma State being right up there."
