TULSA - After five days without solid ice, Winterfest reopened Thursday.
Unseasonably warm temperatures made it impossible for workers to keep the ice from getting slushy.
Organizers credited a change in weather and the hard work of staff to get things ready to reopen.
A holiday market and fireworks after the Tulsa Holiday Parade are planned for Saturday.
