TULSA - A woman is in police custody after one person was killed in a fire at a vacant four-plex apartment building near 63rd and Peoria Sunday.
Doreatha Poland, 27, faces charges of first-degree murder and first-degree arson.
Officials say the call came in around 4 a.m. Sunday.
Tulsa Fire Captain Stan May says the apartments were supposed to be empty.
The apartment had been boarded up from the back but someone must have pulled down the boards, May told 2NEWS.
May says it appears there were several people living in the abandoned apartment.
Officials say they are investigating who the victim is and how the fire started.
