BIXBY, Okla. - Tulsa County officials and Bixby firefighters are on the scene of a house fire that left one person dead.
Investigators say the fire started around 10 a.m. Sunday near 171st Street and Memorial Drive.
Responders say they found a body in the debris. They were unable to determine if the victim was a man or a woman.
The medical examiner will perform and autopsy to ensure the fire is the cause of death and to determine the identify of the victim.
Investigators say the fire appears to have started next to a gas heater in the living room.
