Allison's is advising customers to return the packages to the store they were purchased for a refund, according to the OSDH.
Allison's is taking preventative measures after its hard cooked eggs, supplied by Michael Foods Inc. , were recalled because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially fatal foodborne pathogen.
Symptoms of the pathogen include fever, chills, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, according to the OSDH.
"We are being extra cautious since listeriosis is a serious illness. If you have the products listed on the recall list, return them to the store for a refund or discard the product," OSDH consumer protection division director K.C. Ely in a statement. "If you have eaten any of the products on the recall list, and develop the syptoms of listeriosis, contact your health care provider."
Oklahoma and at least 14 other states are included in the recall.
There are currently no illnesses reported.
