TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Two people have been named persons of interest in a double homicide and have been arrested on unrelated charges.

Tracy Redford, 46, and 42-year-old Jessie Leppke were taken into Cherokee County custody Thursday afternoon on past assault and battery charges. Leppke was initially treated for minor injuries.

The bodies of Jessie Catron and Angela Finley, identified as Catron's niece in her late 40s, were discovered by Tahlequah police Wednesday night.

OSBI officials are calling it a double murder and say the victims had significant trauma.

"To hear how they were killed is awful," said neighbor Terri Horney. "I mean, this close to us? That's a horror movie."

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Tahlequah police at 918-456-8801.
