Oklahoma City Thunder star forward Kevin Durant has joined recovery efforts after a massive tornado destroyed hundreds of houses and buildings and claimed dozens of lives.

The American Red Cross announced Tuesday that Durant's family foundation is matching other donations up to $1 million.

The NBA All Star tweeted to his more than 4 million followers how to donate to the American Red Cross -- text "REDCROSS" to 90999 for a $10 donation.
