TULSA - Troopers say a wrong way driver is in the hospital after her car collided with a semi on the Will Rogers Turnpike.

Officials say Erika Elaine Whitt, 27, was driving the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of I-44 around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Whitt's car collided with a semi near the Pine Street exit.  Her car spun around and was hit by another car.

Whitt was airlifted to the hospital and is in serious condition.  The driver of the other car received minor injuries.

The truck driver was not hurt.

Troopers say alcohol was a factor.
