TULSA - A South Tulsa Family is wondering who set fire to their Barack Obama campaign signs.

The vandalism happened just hours after the second presidential debate concluded.

Rosalind Batten tells 2NEWS she is shocked because she and her family live in a nice neighborhood, near 81st and South Memorial Drive.

"I just don't know how people could be so vindictive and mean," she said.

The Battens are the only family in their neighborhood to publicly display their political opinions.

A few blocks away though, Jim Brock has a Mitt Romney sign in his yard.

Even though his views are different than the Batten's, he said, "I don't think it's right for somebody to come and vandalize somebody's sign, because everybody has their opinion and that's what this country is all about."

The Tulsa Police Department says signs are vandalized or stolen every election period and finding the persons responsible is always difficult.

The Battens say they will leave the burned signs up until they are able to replace them.
