TULSA - The major blizzard in the northeast is having a minimal impact at the Tulsa International Airport, but the storm does seem to be affecting at least a few flights.
A United Airlines flight from Newark scheduled to land in Tulsa just after 10 p.m. Friday was canceled.
United Airlines also canceled a Saturday morning flight to Newark slated for a 6:45 departure.
Some passengers 2NEWS spoke with said they narrowly missed being stranded due to the storm.
"We were holding our breath, right up until the last minute," said Jim Barnes, whose flight from Connecticut was one of the last to leave the tarmac. "It was already pretty windy and snowing pretty hard when we left."
Airport officials are asking passengers with questions to contact their airlines directly.
