TULSA - Downtown Tulsa's newest hotel is being called a success, by management.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites, in the Brady Arts District, opened on November 20.
"It has been going extremely well," said General Manager Steve Fischer.
New Year's Eve is the first night that the hotel is at capacity.
Fischer says, on an average weekend, about 50 percent of the 104 rooms are full.
"You never know how it's going to go, especially opening up right around the holiday season, but we've been welcomed with open arms," he said.
Fischer tells 2NEWS that many of the hotel's guests are from the Tulsa area.
"It has provided another opportunity for people to be able to just come down to do something different and not travel so far," he said. "The Brady District has become a destination place and a lot of people are coming to the area to enjoy what's going on down here."
The hotel's busiest nights are when major events, such as large concerts, are held downtown.
