MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee police say a disabled veteran shot an intruder who was trying to break into his home around 11 p.m. Saturday near Kankakee and North F Street.
Police located the suspect shortly afterward. The man had been shot and was transported the hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
The suspect's name has not been released. Officers say he will be charged with first-degree burglary.
Investigators say they do not believe the homeowner did anything criminal.
