MUSKOGEE, Okla. - The city of Muskogee will be offering its residents free debris disposal at the Muskogee Community Landfill this weekend.
Muskogee residents and utility customers from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday will be able to dispose of unwanted items at the landfill for no charge with a show of their city of Muskogee utility bill and a valid driver’s license.
City officials recommend participants to enter the landfill – located at 2801 S. 54 th St. West – from the north off of Hancock onto 54 th Street due to expected heavy traffic.
Additionally, they add the landfill will not accept any commercial debris or items such as air conditioners and refrigerators containing Freon refrigerant unless the appliances have been certified purged of the chemical.
A limb and brush drop-off site will also be available from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. the same day, but at the intersection of 40th and Denver. No stumps will be accepted at the site.
