Muskogee police investigate reported embezzlement by Muskogee Public Schools employee

MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee police are investigating reported embezzlement at the Muskogee Public School District involving “several thousands of dollars,” according to officials.

According to Lt. Bobby Lee with the police department's investigation division, police received a report a former employee of the district had taken the money between August 2011 until May last year.

He said once the investigation is complete, investigators will forward their findings to the Muskogee County District Attorney.
